x402 · HTTP 402 · USDC
APIs your agent can pay for. No account. No API key.
TariffMonkee is a catalog of small, single-purpose web tools priced per call. An agent hits an endpoint, gets a 402 with the exact price, pays in USDC over the x402 protocol, and gets its answer. No sign-up flow, no credit packs, no keys to provision or leak.
How it works
Four steps, no humans in the loop
Call the endpoint
Your agent requests any tool under /paid. Full parameter docs live at /docs and /llms.txt.
Get the price
The response is HTTP 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header stating the exact amount, asset, and accepted networks.
Pay in USDC
Any x402 v2 client signs and settles the payment. Settlement runs through the Coinbase CDP facilitator on Base and Solana.
Get the result
Retry with the PAYMENT header and receive a 200 with your data. Repeat calls within 24 hours hit cache.
Why this model
Built the opposite way around
No sign-up wall
Most agent tool platforms make you register, generate an API key, and pre-buy credits before the first call. Here the first call is the sign-up: the 402 response is the whole onboarding.
Pay for exactly what runs
Per-call pricing from $0.001. No minimums, no expiring credit balances, no subscription you forget to cancel.
Priced for machines
Every endpoint states one flat price up front, machine-readable, so an agent can budget a task before spending a cent.

Who it's for
Three ways in

- Agent developers: drop pay-per-call web data into any x402-capable stack without provisioning keys per user.
- Builders exploring agentic payments: a working, production x402 deployment to test clients against, from $0.001 a call.
